Titans U16 tackle experienced Havant side

Tottonians Titans Under 16s completed their season with a good, solid performance against an experienced Havant Development side at Water Lane on Sunday.

In good weather and with a good attendance, including Kevin our excellent photographer, the Under 16 girls side tackled Havant, aided in numbers by the visiting captain Millie alongside teammates Elsie and Flo plus Lexi, Lola and Rose from Ellingham and Ringwood.

Whilst the final score was 54-12 to the visitors, it was only 12-7 at half-time with Sophie scoring in the first period, a dummy pass to the fly-half from a scrum saw her break through the line and run a full 60 metres to score under the posts.  Missy kicked the conversion.

The Titans added a second in the second half when good passing down the line found Lottie, who stepped here and there around the Havant players and broke through with 30 metres to run and scored.  Lottie missed her conversion, which was slightly to the right of the posts.

Overall, it was a good game with some strong tackles and great runs with ball in hand.  The experienced Havant players certainly helped Totts gain confidence in their back foot positioning and linespeed.
