…. sometimes, they wear an orange crop top, a pink two piece and carry a toaster!!!!

It was Tottonians to the rescue on Saturday night when, on a stop off on the journey home from Saturday’s game at Chobham at The Greyhound pub in Ash, just off the M3, a motorcyclist was knocked off his bike at the roundabout outside the hostalry and the car sped off.

Luckily, help was at hand as the 30-strong travelling Tottonians were just leaving the bar and club captain Liam Murphy alongside back-row Connor Andrews stepped in to assist the stricken biker.

It is a good job that there is photographic evidence of it happening, given it is more akin to a sketch in a comedy show, that the biker was helped by two men dressed (if you can call it dressed!) in very little!

Our two Tottonian heroes helped upright the bike and ensured that he was ok and the coach headed back south.

The story doesn’t end there though as an email was received later that night from the man on the motorcycle wanting to thank “your guys who were so helpful, especially the chap in the crop top and lipstick and the one carrying a toaster…”

“I went back to the pub to buy them all a drink but they’d gone.  The landlord thought it was your club but wasn’t sure.”

Yes, it was us!

Well done everyone – certainly topped off a great day!
