A festive message from Tottonians Rugby Club Chair, Wayne Hausen.  Merry Christmas, one and all.

Dear all,

What a great entertaining first half of the season we have had with all three senior men sides all performing well and all at the top end of their leagues if not top.

It makes for a packed clubhouse and a great atmosphere around the club, I’ve been with the club since 1986 and it is the most tangible good feeling we’ve had in the club for a long time, playing some excellent entertaining rugby by all sides.

Our mini, juniors and colts go from strength to strength and seeing the colts playing on a Sunday again means we are back where we always were before and will continue our excellent record of transitioning junior players into senior club players!

Eleven of the starting first XV at Bournemouth this week were homegrown players.  It’s what we do better than any club in Hampshire.

I’ve just received exciting news this morning that we are entered into the Papa John’s Championship Cup with a potential Twickenham final!

As long as we win the first round on the 12th April we then go into a ‘Home and Away’ leg on the 26th of April and the 3rd of May.  Then it’s semi-final on the 10th and Twickenham final on the 17th.

On our day, we can beat anyone and have a good crop at returning players coming back in January from their injuries and holidays.

Enjoy your Christmas and don’t forget to get your extras in for the boys.

Wishing everyone associated with Totts a Happy and Merry Christmas and a successful New Year
💚🤍🖤
